On March 30, 2018, Wuxi Triumph Gas Equipment Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Jiaotong University formally signed a cooperation agreement to jointly develop the "Submerged Combusion Vaporizer" equipment. Gu Anzhong, chairman of the Shanghai Jiaotong University LNG Center/LNG2019 National Organizing Committee, said that the success of this R&D project will fill the domestic gap and will completely end the history of importing only foreign products.

Focusing on the natural gas industry “LNG storage,vaporizer equipment, pressure regualting devices, PLC station control and system installation”, Wuxi Triumph is the first domestic brand of LNG vaporizer products in China, and this joint research and development with Shanghai Jiaotong University aims to break down technical barriers, more domestic urban peaking projects can use the products of independent research and development brands. Lin Wensheng, deputy director of the Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering at Shanghai Jiaotong University, said that in order to solve the difficulty of natural gas “gas shortage”, the urban LNG peak shaving station project will enter the high-speed construction period in the next five years. Submerged Combusion Vaporizer is the most critical core equipment in the LNG peak shaving station, it can efficiently convert LNG to natural gas in normal temperature, with large gasification and low operating cost. At the same time, it has many advantages such as high integration of equipment, small floor space, convenient installation cost, short equipment startup time and high heat exchange efficiency. Its successful development will break the current monopoly of only two companies in Germany and South Korea.

The research and development time of this project is 8 months, and the R&D investment exceeds 3.5 million yuan. The prototype is planned to be manufactured and tested before the end of this year. In March of 2019, the vaporizer with an hourly flow rate of 50,000 cubic meters will be completed. At the same time, the project has reached a consensus with Wuxi China Resources company, and will install and test the equipment in the newly built “Huishan Large LNG Peak Shaving Emergency Station”.

“Triumph’s Dream” is become the first vaporizer equipment manufacturing expert in China, who can provide any customer, any manufacturing standard, any medium, any pressure, any heating method, and any occasion.
